PU screen is applied to various fields such as mining and coal. It has many advantages by using PU screen during mining. An introduction to the advantages of PU screen during mining as follows:
I. Measures are taken to strictly control coarse particle size and shim. By installing PU screen, the service life of the crusher can be prolonged.
The ores can not be directly grinded by the ball mill due to the irregular and big particle size. To reduce the cost of the ball mill, the ores are put into the ball mill for dissociation after crushing. The crushing process: rough crushing–>medium crushing–> screening, screen underflow–>ball mill; oversize products–>fine crushing–> rescreening, that is the common three sections of a closed-circuit crushing.
Generally the jaw crusher or gyratory cone crusher is used for rough crushing. The crushing is performed before the raw ores are put into it. The particle size can not exceed 650mm. To effectively control the particle size, PU screen adapting to the dimension of the crusher is installed at the inlet. The endurance of the jaw crusher will be reduced by means of particle size control, thereby effectively protecting the jaw plate and preventing blocking.
II. Increase the Slope of the Surge Bunker and Material Transportation Channel
The influence factors of friction coefficient include material property, speed, temperature, load, vibration and degree of finish. Only the materials and load can be changed. So long as the slope of the surge bunker and material transportation channel is changed, the inclination will increase and the positive pressure will reduce. Then the friction will also reduce. Thus, the wear of metal wall can be reduced and the service life can be prolonged. These effects can be obtained by installing PU screen.
III. One layer of PU screen is nailed to the metal wall where the materials pass through for the purpose of prolonging the service life.
Under the circumstances that the slope can not be adjusted, one layer of 20mm-30mm thick PU sheet can be nailed to the wall besides increasing the hardness of steel plate. According to the conclusion of the state authorities, “the hardness has a great influence on the friction coefficient of PU elastomer. Generally, the lower the hardness, the higher the friction coefficient” The more smooth the surface, the smaller the friction. The iron ore has high hardness and PU surface is smooth and elastic so that the wall of surge bunker can be effectively protected and damage can be reduced.
